I have the pleasure of introducing this new and exciting 2006 "Wawa Girls" Calendar. This calendar, which reflects a small sample of the beautiful women who live in our town, is a sincere effort to portray these special ladies. The town of Wawa has introduced a new tourism branding slogan of "Wawa Wow!" and although there are so many things within the town that can utilize this slogan, I felt that it was a perfect description of the local models featyred in this calendar.
In addition, the pictures reflect our landscape, scenery, point of interest, local sports as well as our four distinct seasons. There are sporty Winter scenes: the gentleness of Spring; the surprising opportunities of Summer; the spectacular colours of Fall; and all are included within the fabulous photographs found in this 2006 Calendar. Truly "Wawa Wow!". This has been a fun project and everyone involved should be proud of the dignity and grace reflected throughout the calendar. My thanks to all the ladies who participated in the making of the special calendar and a huge bouquet of praise to Tamara Liddle who's diligent and brilliant photography is reflected in the beauty, smiles, warmth of these special women, who are this year's "2006 Wawa Girls". |

Living in Wawa is like being embraced by something magical. No matter what the season there is always a freshness to the air and a certain youthfulness that is infectious to those who live here. I consider it an honour to have worked on this Calendar. All the girls within its pages have a quality that is inherent to our pristine surroundings. They are truly beautiful. Proud to be from Wawa!
